My Group 3
I didnt present my part of the project but at the time that i was trying to get all the information toguether. I understand a lot of the topic that the book was making. My topic was more on public speaking, Language brings your ideas to life by capturing attention, helping listeners visualize points, and aiding memory. It is arbitrary, ambiguous, abstract, and active, meaning words can be interpreted differently and change over time. Language is closely tied to culture, so avoid slang or culture-specific terms unless necessary, and use gender-fair language to include all listeners. Spoken language differs from written—it’s more immediate, informal, and conversational—so speeches should use engaging, audience-focused language. To connect effectively, use clear, meaningful, and respectful language, balance clarity with some ambiguity, keep it concise, and be flexible with your words. Seeing this part is more on how important public speaking is to the world. Is more like expressing yourself and how can you help others understand your point of view. that how you can see people now day like polities and president they way on there speaking you can see a differeent point and diferrent way of express in there tone.
My favorite presentanction was from group 1
The Evolving Art of Public Speaking Public speaking still has to adapt as our world changes, especially with all of the new technology we deal with every day. Now, people can conduct research on their topics through the internet, make presentation slides with presentation software, or even give speeches through video calls to audiences a few miles away. However, the fundamental nature of public speaking hasn't changed—it's all about engaging human beings and delivering concepts in a way that touches and means something. The art of public speaking has been in existence since the time of ancient Greece and Rome, where students like Aristotle taught that good communication is all about reason (logos), emotion (pathos), and credibility (ethos). And those same things still guide speakers today. Public speaking can help you become more confident, listen better, and you can be a better speaker. Today in our world, we talk in many ways—through social media, video, and face-to-face—and public speaking puts it all together. Whether presenting at school, presenting at work, or presenting at a special event, effective speaking allows you to engage with people and make a lasting impression. I think that this part help me understand the overall of public speaking i like how the girls who was presenting they did a beautiful job it was understandible in a very easy way.
Conclusion
Even though I wasn't able to give my part of the project, reading it made me realize how much stronger public speaking and language are. It truly opened my eyes to the fact that words can bring something to life that we're talking about and enable people to understand what we're trying to get through to them. It has nothing to do with talking—it has everything to do with connecting individuals and communicating in a natural way. I learned about how language changes and how important it is to be clear, respectful, and mindful of the way we are communicating to a particular audience as well. Group 1's speech was such a reminder that public speaking keeps adapting with each new gadget but, in the end, is still all about humans exchanging ideas and changing lives via voice. This project helped me realize that public speaking is not born within one—it's something that shows who you are and what you're capable of doing to move people.
