Lazaro Morejon                                                     Reflection on Class Presentation      Over the past weeks I've come to realize how much me and my team have improved when it came to communicating and making it very clear what each group member had to do, not only that but our presentation is one of the best i've ever seen, and the professor also used our agenda and brochure as examples. Not only us but I saw how each other group came together, making their project visually, and making it very easy for the viewer to understand what's going on. They turned it into something easy to relate and to be very engaging. What's really been the most noticable is the change in my peers confidence compared to the beginning of the semester, it showed the boost in confidence, their ability to research the topics and make the slides and visua...
class reflection #2  How Immigration Boosts Economies: The U.S. and Global View Immigration dominates political debate, news headlines, and social media arguments, but one key fact is forgotten in all the shouting: immigration is an economic superpower. It fuels growth, drives innovation, fills essential jobs, and strengthens communities in fundamental ways. When people move across borders, they bring more than luggage-they bring skills, ideas, dreams, and ambition. Whether in the United States or on the other side of the world, immigrants grow economies from the ground up and across the globe. Let's take a closer and more human view of how that happens. Economic Impact: The United States vs. the World Immigrants play a significant role in the United States in respect to its economic engine. They fill the gap in the labor force, especially in those industries where employers desperately need workers. Think about the food we eat, the homes we live in, hotels we stay in, the te...

Daniel De La Rosa : Presentation Reflections

Daniel De La Rosa: Presentation Reflections Participating in and watching the group presentations this semester was one of the most enjoyable and eye-opening parts of the class. Each group took on a complex issue that connects deeply to everyday life—education, immigration, healthcare, and the environment—and turned it into something relatable and meaningful. I liked that every presentation had its own unique energy and style, which kept things interesting from start to finish. Listening to my classmates share their research and personal insights helped me see how these different topics overlap and shape the world we live in. Education and Economic Growth The first group’s presentation on Education and Economic Growth really stood out to me. They explained how investing in education isn’t just about improving schools—it directly affects the economy by creating more skilled workers, higher incomes, and stronger communities. I liked how they used charts and statistics to show th...

Reflection on Class Presentations: Daniela Arrazcaeta

Reflection on Class Presentations: Daniela Arrazcaeta           Looking back over the past few weeks as everyone shared their themed presentations, I could really see how much our class has grown. There was a noticeable boost in confidence and effort compared to the start of the semester. Everyone seemed more comfortable speaking, more creative with their visuals, and more connected to the topics they chose. The presentations were not only more organized but also more enjoyable to watch. You could tell people took the time to apply what we learned earlier in the semester about speaking clearly, designing better PowerPoints, and engaging the audience. I honestly enjoyed this round so much more because it showed real growth, not just in our skills, but in the way we all worked together and supported each other. Group 4: Education and Economic Growth           Group 4’s presentation about how education affects the economy ...

Blog Reflection on Class Presentations

Iliana Reyes Araman Blog Reflection on Class Presentations      This round of presentations showed how much more engaged everyone became over the semester. Each group came prepared with unique topics, creative visuals, and well-researched information, which was a big step up from our earlier projects. It was clear that students felt more confident speaking in front of the class and worked better together. Every presentation offered something useful to think about. All the hard work paid off, and it was great to see how much we have grown in our understanding of the material and in working as a team. Group 4: Education’s Roles in Shaping Economies      Group 4 talked about how education shapes economies, which felt especially relevant. They explained their ideas clearly and used a chalkboard-style design that fit the topic well. Their main point was that education affects not just individuals but also society and the economy as a whole. They showed how...

10/10/2025 Jamilis Martinez  My Group 3  I didnt present my part of the project but at the time that i was trying to get all the information toguether. I understand a lot of the topic that the book was making. My topic was more on public speaking, Language brings your ideas to life by capturing attention, helping listeners visualize points, and aiding memory. It is arbitrary, ambiguous, abstract, and active, meaning words can be interpreted differently and change over time. Language is closely tied to culture, so avoid slang or culture-specific terms unless necessary, and use gender-fair language to include all listeners. Spoken language differs from written—it’s more immediate, informal, and conversational—so speeches should use engaging, audience-focused language. To connect effectively, use clear, meaningful, and respectful language, balance clarity with some ambiguity, keep it concise, and be flexible with your words. Seeing this part is more on how important p...

Lazaro Morejon My group #3     While we were preparing for this group presentation there seem to be a lot of discomfort specially with me because I honestly do not like presenting to other people and interacting with others, but as time went on our group started getting used to each other and now we have good communication skills and know what to do for the presentation. Specially since Iliana is a great leader to our group helping us with what we need to do, and she isn’t shy to voice her opinion on what we can do better within our group. I will say this was a learning experience because at the beginning of our presentation I was trying to screen share and I had some technical difficulties but me and my group talked it over and we’re goin to rotate who gets to screen share next time. It truly was fun working on this presentation because it helped step out of my comfort zone and was able to learn different skills thanks to the chapter I was placed to do. My favorite presentati...
